SAN FRANCISCO, March 30, 2007—Genstar Capital, LLC, a middle market private equity firm that focuses on investments in selected segments of the industrial technology, life sciences, healthcare services, and business services sectors, today announced that it named Anthony J. Salewski as a senior associate.

Prior to joining Genstar, Tony was a Principal at Alpine Investors in San Francisco and before that served as the Chief of Staff for Operations at Barclays Global Investors (BGI), the world's largest institutional investment manager, where he reported to the Chief Operating Officer and executed strategic initiatives for the Executive Committee. From 2000 to 2002 Mr. Salewski was an Associate at Hellman & Friedman LLC. He began his career in the investment banking division of Morgan Stanley in New York. He received his BA from Harvard College in 1998 and his MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School in 2006.
Mr. Salewski joins Michael S. Langdon, also a senior associate, who joined Genstar in 2006. Prior to joining Genstar, Mr. Langdon was a Senior Associate with Frontenac Company LLC, in Chicago and previously served as an Analyst for New York-based DLJ Merchant Banking Partners, L.P., and also worked as a Manager in Microsoft's Corporate Development group.
