San Francisco, CA and New Albany, OH (October 22, 2003)—INSTALLS inc, LLC (“INSTALLS”), a unit of Genstar Capital Partners III, L.P., today announced that it has completed the acquisition of AmeriLink Corp. (“AmeriLink”), formerly a wholly-owned subsidiary of RadioShack Corporation (“RadioShack”), that operated under the name RadioShack Installation Services. AmeriLink is a leading national provider of DBS and cable in-home installation services. As part of the transaction, INSTALLS entered into a four-year services agreement to continue providing DBS installation services for RadioShack’s customers across the country. Terms of the acquisition and services agreement were not disclosed.

The acquisition combines INSTALLS’ state of the art information systems and nationwide network of highly trained technicians with AmeriLink’s broad field management infrastructure and expertise in cable installations. AmeriLink’s field management infrastructure extends INSTALLS’ current field organization and will allow the combined company to offer retailers and service providers unparalleled quality assurance and customer service.
