Herbert M. Dwight, Jr. serves on Genstar’s Strategic Advisory Board and advises the Firm in the area business, industrial technology and information services.
Herb is the retired Chairman and CEO of Optical Coating Laboratory, a manufacturer of optical thinfilm components and subassemblies for the telecommunications industry that was subsequently acquired by JDS Uniphase. Herb also served as CEO of Superconductor Technologies, Inc. and was a Founder and CEO of Spectra Physics, Inc., a pioneer in laser technology. He currently serves on the board of the Hoover Institution at Stanford and PLC Diagnostics, a startup company developing a bio-molecular scanner.
